SAMPLES / MADE FOR AN EXHIBITION 

This listing is for a pair of my large scratched circle and rectangle earrings made from polymer clay with recycled sterling silver ear wires. 

I made a collection of earrings for a recent exhibition where I used the plant pigment woad which is a lovely soft denim blue colour and I have a few sample pairs of earrings in the sample sale.

There's not a lot wrong with these earrings but the colours look quite washed out and faded as I used a small amount of woad pigment.  Woad is a fugitive pigment so these earrings may well fade further over time - just like denim does - so they may lighten over time. 

This pair of earrings are made with woad blue pigment for the large circle and yellow pigment from the flowers of the plant for the smaller rectangle. 

The surface of the clay has been sanded to give a scratched finish

The length of the earrings is approximately 50mm.
