I love rings and I especially love big colourful rings set in silver. So I've created a range of sterling silver rings where I make the ring shank and bezel set entirely by hand, file and hammer until I'm happy with the setting and then fill the bezel with either colourful resin clay. Once the resin clay has cured, I then file down the colourful inlay so that the colours sit seemlessly in the silver setting.
The resin clays can be mixed to make so many different colours and the final result is a lovely matt, almost stone like finish. It's a time consuming labour of love but I think the end result is pretty pleasing and the rings are comfortable to wear and look lovely on.
I make a selection of different sized bezel settings from small stacking rings with a little colourful circle or square through to larger settings. I also make a range of simple hammered narrow stacking bands in sterling silver which look great worn with the little circles and squares or stacked up on their own.
